Hardcore Struggle!

The LRSD Hardcore team went into Game Battles last night and got spanked.  They met up with two highly experienced hardcore clans (Both Ranked in top 25 of GB) and they caught a major beat down.  The LRSD hasn’t really practiced or prepared for hardcore and it showed.   This really isn’t shocking news, most of the LRSD consist of players who only play CORE.  Some of these guys say “Hardcore sucks it takes no skill.” Well obviously it does take some sort of skill or the LRSD wouldn’t of gotten mauled like they did.

So last night Gymbo and Takedown brought some inexperienced clan members into Game Battles and they paid the price. They brought Paco, Chub and Jigsaw with them into battle, well at least they thought they did.

Paco struggled in his Game Battles debut going 0-20.  (Yes that is ZERO kills and TWENTY deaths.) Chub also struggled in his GB debut going 11-30. (Yes that is ELEVEN kills and THIRTY deaths).  Basically giving the other team a 500 point spot. (By the Way the Match is Only to 1000)  Jigsaw’s performance was over shadowed by the poor performance of Paco and Chub.  Jigsaw held his own considering the circumstances.

The second game of the match was no different then the first. We tried to talk with Gymboslice about the second game but all he could say was “Bad, Bad, Bad”.

Takedownspecial was available for an interview after the game and he had some interesting things to say.

Media: “Takedown, What happen in the Game Battles death match?”

Takedown: “First Off, I’m not going to talk about Paco going 0-20.  It’s not good to talk about a teammate going 0-20.  Some guys have bad days but 0-20 does makes you question whether he is actually your teammate. Secondly, I’m not going to talk about Chub dying 30 times.  That’s my teammate and I’m not going to talk about him dying 30 times.  That’s a lot of times but I’m not going to talk about it.”

Media: “Do you think you will go into another GB game with these guys again?”

Takedown: “These guys are going to go back to training and work on the basics.  JigSaw and Chub have only been with the LRSD for a week so they are still trying to get use to the way we play.  Some people have a hard time getting use to winning.  Not me.. All Takedown does is win. Takedown is a beast.”

Media: “What is going to happen with the hardcore team?”

Takedown: “Obviously Takedown is not going to take part in losing.  We are going to have to put a team together that specializes in Hardcore.  This hardcore training team just seems like a bad idea. We currently have JigSaw taking charge and he has created a LRSD Bravo team on the regular GB ladder.  I think regular is more their style and I expect them to do well there…..That’s all I got for today..”
